Enhance Curves with Breast Augmentation in NJ!

POSTED ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 16, 2013 AT 9:23 AM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

If winter’s chill is making you dream of sandy shores and the sun’s warm rays, prepare for your fantasy with Breast Augmentation in NJ! Get a head start on your dream body now so you can show off your new curves later! Breast Augmentation in New Jersey has also helped women rejoice after breast cancer surgery, providing hope, strength, and confidence.

In addition to restoring curves after breast cancer surgery, women opt to increase the size of their breast for a number of reasons. These reasons include to enhance body contour, correct loss of volume after pregnancy or weight loss, and  balance a difference in breast size. Also known as Mammoplasty, NJ Breast Augmentation gives patients the feminity, youth, and beauty they deserve. At the office of NJ Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi, we offer several options when it comes to breast enhancement. Understanding the similarities and differences between your options will better assist your when choosing Breast Augmentation.

Silicone Implants contain a silicone gel whereas Saline Implants are salt-water based. When receiving breast implants, some women may require skin expansion.  Skin expansion stretches the skin, creating room for permanent implants. During skin expansion, Dr. Asaadi will insert a balloon expander beneath the skin and chest muscle. Through a tiny valve, he will inject a salt-water solution over the course of several weeks to months. Once the skin is stretched enough, the expansion will be removed and your silicone or saline implants will be put into place.

During implant reconstruction, some patients may require flap reconstruction in order to support implants. This procedure allows for breast reconstruction using your own tissue. There are two types of flaps; pedical and free. Pedical flaps take skin, tissue, or muscles from other parts of your body with the vessels attached. Free flaps however, involve detaching these vessels and then reconnecting them at the insertion area with microsurgery. Once the flap is completed, implants are inserted.

In addition to saline and silicone implants, Dr. Asaadi offers Natural Breast Augmentation. This innovative procedure gives women the option to increase breast size using their own fat cells. These fat cells are collected from other areas of the body, known as donor areas, including the tummy, thighs, or love handles. Donor fat cells are then placed in the breast for a natural approach and appearance.

It may be easy to cover up in the frigid of winter, but once summer comes, don’t be unprepared! Learn more about breast augmentation in NJ. Look Younger for the Holidays in NJ with Botox & more!

POSTED ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2012 AT 9:07 AM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

It’s not too late to rejuvenate your appearance for the upcoming holidays! At the office of Dr. Asaadi, we offer a variety of non-invasive skin rejuvenation opportunities, including Restylane®, Juvederm®, Perlane®, and BOTOX® in NJ. These dermal fillers and cosmetic injectables can help you look younger without having to undergo invasive surgery. Discover each of your rejuvenating options! Learn the differences between each and ask Dr. Asaadi which will best suite your individual needs.

BOTOX® NJ: Botox cosmetic derives from botulinum toxin. Through injection of botulinum, the muscles become still, helping to temporarily reduce and eliminate frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet, and thick bands in the neck. BOTOX® Cosmetic allows for a more relaxed appearance and aids in preventing wrinkles for a younger looking appearance. Additionally, BOTOX® in NJ can alleviate migraine pain and treat excess sweating of the hands, feet, or underarms. Learn more about BOTOX® in NJ.

Restylane®: Using the body’s own natural hyaluronic acid, Restylane® in NJ supplements lost volume to areas of the face or lip. This cosmetic filler can smooth out wrinkles, restore volume to the lips and face, and help shape facial contours. Learn more about Restylane® in NJ.

Juvederm®: Juvederm® is a smooth consistency gel that like Restylane®, uses hyaluronic acid. Juvederm® in NJ is injected under the skin to instantly restore skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles. Juvederm® works best for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and can also be used to plump up volume to the lips. Learn more about Juvederm® in NJ.

Perlane®: Similar to Restylane®, Perlane® in NJ restores lost volume and fullness to the skin and works best to correct nasolabia folds. Unlike Restylane® however, Perlane® uses larger gel particles and is intended for deeper injection to support and lift facial folds that are further beneath the skin and more stubborn. Learn more about Perlane® in NJ.

In addition to our non-invasive dermal fillers and cosmetic injectables, we provide chemical peels to smooth dry and damaged skin from winter’s cold chill! Chemical peels work by removing the damaged layers of the skin, helping to relieve facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation. Furthermore, chemical peels can remove pre-cancerous skin growths, soften facial scars, and control acne. We offer three different chemical peels in NJ for different skin types and problems.  Depending on the depth and severity of your skin will determine which chemical peel is right for you.

For our patient still in the need of the perfect holiday gift, or who simply wish to pamper themselves, consider the gift of beautiful skin with our full line of SkinMedica products. SkinMedica believes everyone deserves healthy, glowing skin. Their products range from anti-wrinkle serums to simple sun protection.

FDA Approves Botox for Migraines in New Jersey & Beyond!

POSTED ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2012 AT 9:47 AM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

It starts as a pounding in the head. Some see static, feel nauseous, or develop a sense of spinning. The culprit of these unwanted pains and symptoms is a migraine, and for those who experience its life halting effects, finding immediate relief is often insurmountable. When this type of extreme head pain strikes, sufferers know that the rest of the day must be spent in bed without any light or sound. If you’re one of the 25-35 million Americans affected by migraines each year, then you know the struggle of finding a cure. Though over the counter and prescription medications can offer temporary relief, a more permanent solution exists at the office of your plastic surgeon.

The revelation of BOTOX® for migraines came about 12 years ago, when researchers discovered that the number one reason a migraine occurs is from the contraction of the muscle within the temporal area. Patients who received BOTOX® Cosmetic however, found relief from their migraine symptoms following injection. Doctors soon realized that this cosmetic injectable not only stops wrinkles, it stops the throbbing head pain so many people experience each year.

When it comes to treating migraines with BOTOX® Cosmetic in New Jersey, your plastic surgeon will properly diagnose your migraine by first asking you where your trigger point is. There are four areas of the head in which these trigger points may reside, including the frontal area, the lateral part of the eye, the back of the head, and the nose. Once the correct area is identified, your plastic surgeon will inject BOTOX® Cosmetic to improve any nerve blocks and to relieve pressure of any pinched nerves.

After treatment, about 80-90 percent of patients find their migraines completely cured. Furthermore, BOTOX® Cosmetic is FDA approved for migraines. Though BOTOX® Cosmetic last about 6 months for cosmetic procedures, migraine suffers must return every 2-3 months for injections and further prevention of their migraine.

In addition to BOTOX® Cosmetic in New Jersey, patients may also benefit from a more permanent solution to cure migraines. In fact, if patients respond well to the treatment of BOTOX®, they will most likely respond to surgical procedures such as septoplasty or blepharoplasty in NJ. These options remove overlying muscles that put unwanted pressure on the nerves known to lead to extreme head pain.

Dr. Asaadi and his staff will gladly discuss any questions or concerns you may have about BOTOX® Cosmetic in New Jersey. Contact our New York office at 973.731.7000 or request an appointment online for a personal consultation.

Curves After Cancer with Breast Surgery in New York City

POSTED ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 08, 2012 AT 3:12 PM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

Breast Cancer Awareness month is here, so let’s paint the town pink as a reminder to get your annual breast check-up! Breast Cancer Awareness month is a time for men & women to rejoice over their strength, as loved ones support their ongoing battle against breast cancer but also serves as a reminder for patients that early detection saves lives. Dr. Asaadi and our staff support patients in their battle during this difficult time and are here to assist with recovery after breast cancer surgery.

Offering women breast reconstruction surgery in New York City, we can help you restore your sense of curves and self-esteem by using a variety of reconstructive options following mastectomy. Many women do not realize the options available to them after their mastectomy, but at the office of Dr. Asaadi, we can help you understand the different treatments that will fit your body, health, and lifestyle. These include implants, autologous flaps, and in some cases, natural breast augmentation, each of which may be used together or separately, depending on your needs.

If you choose implant based breast reconstruction in New York, Dr. Asaadi will help you choose between silicone or saline implants. Understanding the difference between the two will help you determine which restoration will be best for you. Silicone implants contain a silicone gel, whereas saline implants are salt-water based.  While both implants are FDA approved, research suggests that silicone implants are preferred over saline when it comes to breast surgery in New York City. Furthermore, when receiving implants, some women may require skin expansion. During skin expansion, Dr. Asaadi will insert a balloon expander beneath the skin and chest muscle. Through a tiny valve, he will inject a salt-water solution over the course of several weeks to months. This allows the skin to stretch, creating room for more permanent implants. Once the skin is stretched enough, the expansion will be removed and your silicone or saline implants will be put into place.

Additionally, during implant reconstruction, some patients may require flap reconstruction in order to support implants.

For a perfected shape of the breasts after breast reconstruction, some patients choose to opt for a natural fat transfer. This method removes fat from one area of the body, such as the hips, thighs, or abdomen. The fat is then transferred into the breast, improving contours naturally. Research has shown that this method of fat grafting can help regenerate the stem cells found in the fat cells of the breast that may have been damaged by radiation treatments.

No matter what breast reconstruction option you choose, you’ll find your surgery as a rewarding experience towards your feminine figure. Let Dr. Asaadi and his staff help you after your battle with breast cancer. To learn more about your options when it comes to your breast surgery in New York City, contact our office at, 212.938.0158 or request and appointment online for your consultation with Dr. Asaadi.
