Do people comment on how tired or aged you look despite getting a good night’s sleep? Even if you’re getting enough rest, this may fail to produce a more rejuvenated appearance. A likely reason for this is the presence of puffiness or hollowness around the eyelids. Migraine headaches are extremely painful. Symptoms like sudden pain, intense nausea, and vomiting can last for hours during an attack. Not only do these headaches cause physical pain, but they also affect your daily life—disrupting your plans at any given moment.
Here at Asaadi Plastic Surgery, we are dedicated to finding innovative solutions that improve your quality of life and inspire confidence in yourself. Dr. Asaadi’s pressure test is designed to properly diagnose the cause of your migraine so an individualized and effective treatment plan can be applied.
During the pressure test, Dr. Asaadi will test four trigger points on your face: your two temples, the area above your eyebrow, and your nose. In order to do so, a saline solution will be injected into these pressure points. If you develop a headache after the injection, this determines that pressure to the surrounding nerves is causing your migraine.
After diagnosing the cause of your migraine, Dr. Asaadi can then treat the surrounding muscles to release pressure on that nerve and prevent future migraines from occurring. The following patient was suffering from severe migraines twice a month, in addition to daily headaches. She also experienced frequent nausea and vomiting as a result.
