Deep creases and fine lines, hollowed cheeks, and sagging skin are all natural parts of the aging process. Gravity, exposure to the elements, and constant muscle use in facial expression all contribute to their development. Using the latest advances in cosmetic facial rejuvenation procedures, patients can minimize the appearance of the most visible signs of aging. Leading New York plastic surgeon Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi has found excellent results by combining traditional facelift surgery with fat harvesting and fat transfer to the face.
By using fat transfer injections in combination with a facelift, Dr. Asaadi is able to restore fullness to the face and cheeks and to fill in fine lines between the brows and in temporal areas at the same time that he tightens underlying facial muscles and removes excess skin and fat from the face. With this combination of procedures, Dr. Asaadi has been able to offer his patients dramatic results.

While fat transfer injections can also be used to add volume to the lips and smooth fine lines around the mouth, the results are typically not as long lasting because the areas are frequently mobilized.
In addition to addressing the visible signs of aging, injecting intact and viable fat cells under the facial skin offers the exciting possibility of a better overall skin quality because of the stem cell properties found in the fat.
