Facial Filler Voluma Produces Immediate, Long-Lasting Results

POSTED ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 24, 2014 AT 10:48 AM  by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

A new facial filler has recently become FDA approved and is changing not only the way we look, but the way doctors and patients achieve beautifully youthful results through the use of cosmetic injectables. Perhaps one of the advanced facial fillers, Voluma, will temporarily correct age related volume loss in the cheek area and regions of the mid-face.

Voluma uses the same Hyaluronic Acid (HA) found in similar cosmetic fillers, Juvederm & Restylane. However, Voluma is formulated using VYCROSS® technology, producing a stronger lift and added facial volume. Additionally, Voluma produces immediate results. While some plastic surgeons may use a sharp needle to inject Voluma, Dr. Asaadi will only use a blunt needle in order to prevent bruising often associated with the sharp needle.

“Patients are thrilled with the results,” says Dr. Asaadi. “Very happy-with the immediate results!”

While Voluma is similar to cosmetic filler Juvederm, your plastic surgeon should discuss which filler is right for you depending on several contributing factors. Learn more about the similarities and differences between Voluma & Juvederm below.
