Juvederm® NJ

Juvederm® Injections

Juvéderm® is a dermal filler that can help treat the signs of aging by adding volume to skin that has lost collagen or elasticity. Juvéderm® can also shape and volumize thinning lips. As you age, wrinkles and folds begin to form as a result of repeated muscle contractions, environmental factors like sun exposure, and even genetics. Your skin’s ability to withhold moisture, which is often hindered with age, also plays a key role in the development of wrinkles and fine lines. Juvéderm®, a non-surgical nasolabial fold and wrinkle treatment, can create a youthful-looking appearance.

What Is Juvéderm®?

Juvéderm® is an FDA-approved gel cosmetic filler that is comprised of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in your body. Hyaluronic acid is noted for its ability to hold and retain moisture, which this can be hindered in our skin as we age. The ability for your skin to maintain moisture creates a fuller, volumized facial appearance. The hyaluronic acid in Juvéderm® is specifically designed to act like the hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally in your body. Because Juvéderm® is comprised of the hyaluronic acid found in your body, Juvéderm® is naturally broken down by your body and eventually processed.

Juvéderm® can last up to 12 months and provides natural-looking, volumized facial features. Almost any facial fold, line, or wrinkle can be effectively treated by Juvéderm® injections, such as crow’s feet, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds. Dr. Asaadi can help add volume to your cheeks for beautiful, natural-looking results with Juvéderm®, as well as create full, plump lips. A Juvéderm® procedure can last 30-60 minutes but can vary depending on what you are having treated.

Juvéderm® Can Treat:
Wrinkles
Facial folds
Fine lines
Nasolabial folds
Marionette lines
Furrowed brows
Thin lips
Hollowed cheeks
Eye wrinkles and crow’s feet

What Can I Expect Before My Juvéderm® Injections?

Our Juvéderm® doctor will begin by assessing the areas of your face that you wish to treat with Juvéderm® injections. After evaluating your individual case, Dr. Asaadi can create a personalized Juvéderm® treatment regime that can effectively target all signs of aging that you wish to treat. The amount of Juvéderm® injections and length of your Juvéderm® procedure will vary depending on what you are having treated. While Juvéderm® is an effective, long-lasting wrinkle and crow’s feet treatment, continuing Juvéderm® sessions will be needed to maintain results and improve the appearance of facial folds and lines.

The ideal Juvéderm® candidate is looking to treat facial folds, wrinkles, hollowed cheeks, or thin lips. Juvéderm® candidates should have realistic expectations as to what Juvéderm® can help them treat. If you have an allergy to any ingredients in Juvéderm®, you are not eligible to receive Juvéderm® injections. If you use blood-thinning medications, have serious allergies, bleeding disorders, or an allergy to lidocaine, you are also unable to receive Juvéderm®. Because Juvéderm® uses acid that is normally found in your body, there is little to no chance of an allergic or adverse reaction for most patients.

What Can I Expect After My Juvéderm® Treatment?

The majority of patients experience little to no downtime after their Juvéderm® procedure and can return to daily activity shortly after a Juvéderm® treatment. Some common side effects that you may experience are mild irritation, inflammation, itching, or swelling at the Juvéderm® injection sites. These side effects are your body’s normal reaction to a Juvéderm® procedure and will diminish in the days following your treatment.

Juvéderm® results are long-lasting, and some patients can see continuing results for up to 12 months. Most patients begin to see an improvement in the appearance of wrinkles in the days following their Juvéderm® injections. While most patients are incredibly pleased with their Juvéderm® results, Dr. Asaadi can quickly reverse the effects of Juvéderm® if needed. Because Juvéderm® is comprised of hyaluronic acid, Dr. Asaadi can administer an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which can completely process and eliminate any traces of Juvéderm®, restoring your appearance back to what it was prior to your Juvéderm® injections. Dr. Asaadi is one of the most skilled plastic surgeons offering Juvéderm® in NJ who focuses on providing natural-looking results that best meet your particular goals.

The Importance Of Choosing A Highly Experienced Juvéderm® Doctor

It is important that you choose a skilled Juvéderm® doctor who understands your individual anatomy, as every patient’s facial structure is different. Dr. Asaadi stresses the importance of choosing a qualified, experienced, and board-certified plastic surgeon when considering Juvéderm®.
